| Customer Reviews:
Are all Insinkerator disposers the same? November 19, 2008 After reading the previous three reviews and seeing a 5 star rating, I decided this stopper would be the answer to all my problems. In November, 2008, I installed at 5/8 hp Insinkerator garbage disposal. Like those who have gone before me, I was surprised to find no stopper included with the unit. Off to Lowe's to purchase a nifty little stainless steel stopper. Come home, put it in the sink, fill the sink with water, turn my back to get dirty dishes, and wow! Where did the water go? Call Insinkerator and ask what I should use to prevent the water from flowing from the sink and I was told by Insinkerator that they do not design their stoppers to stop water! ????????????? (go figure!) So I decided to research online what other creative customers of Insinkerator were using to aleviate this problem.
Reading the reviews of this stopper, it was the only stopper reviewed that said it actually worked. One review even said it was difficult to remove, which said to me that was because the seal worked so well. So I spent my $6.99 for the stopper plus $5.11 to ship it and expected all my dreams to come true and I would be able to wash dishes without having to refill the sink every 2 1/2 minutes.
Unless I have a new brand of Insinkerator that has a different size opening, this stopper DOES NOT work any better than any of the Insinkerator brand stoppers. It actually is the exact same size as the Insinkerator stopper that I purchased at Lowe's. I vehemently advise against purchasing this, it simply doesn't do the job.
This little gadget Really works! September 8, 2008 I have an InSinkErator food grinder in my sink. Until this product I couldn't keep water for washing dishes. I was constantly dragging out the plastic dish pan. This is so simple. Just gently push it into the drain ( Top side up) and it makes a tight seal that holds water.
It works as it should May 14, 2008 There's not much to it. It's made to plug a standard kitchen sink drain, and it does.
Great Product January 25, 2008 3 out of 3 found this review helpful
I was having trouble with other sink stoppers. I tried three different kinds and nothing would hold the water in my sink. My husband was about to completely replace the entire drain unit until I found this. Thank goodness. Now I have no trouble filling the sink up. It is a little difficult to remove it - only because I really have to pull hard sometimes but it is completely worth it to not fill up my sink three times to wash a sink full of dishes. Yeah!
